Absoloot Value Accomodation Queenstown

I stayed at AVA for three nights when I got to Queenstown and then another 4 nights when I returned after Wanaka.

The location is fabulous, you can’t get much closer to the lake without staying somewhere with a ridiculous price tag.

The staff were helpful and the beds were comfortable, the rooms were also clean and tidy.

The biggest issue for travelers would proberly be that the kitchen closes at 10pm, which usually wouldn’t be an issue but if you got in late could be a bit of a pain.

There is a cool common area on the second floor, I’d recommend heading up there with a drink or two and have a chat.

One of the awesome things about this hostel is that they have free wireless internet, you just need to ask at reception and they will give you a login that lasts for however long you are there for and can be used anywhere in the building.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm for $29 per night. The only bad thing for me was that the person on the top bunk moved around a lot and I found it hard to sleep on my last night – this of course is of no fault of the hostel.

All the rooms have ensuites and a small fridge in them so you don’t have to go downstairs to the kitchen when you just want a snack or a cold drink.

On my second stint at the hostel I also got upgraded to a 4 bed dorm for the same price which was pretty cool of them.

They also do double rooms which I would definitely get if we went back as a couple.

I would definately stay here again it was a pretty cool hostel!
