Eat: Healthier Apple Crumble Recipe

I have always loved a good apple crumble however there is A LOT of sugar and butter that goes in to the topping. I randomly got a hankering for apple crumble one day and decided to try a healthier version made without added sugar and no butter. It is also gluten free and I believe it is also Paleo.

It is really easy so do give it a try.

Ingredients:
Apples
Cinnamon
Almond Flour
LSA
Shredded Coconut

Amount of ingredients depends on how big you want to make it and if you like the taste of coconut or not for the topping 🙂

Directions:
1. Peel and core the apples
2. Slice the apples and layer in the dish of your choice
3. Add water to almost cover the apples and a sprinkle of cinnamon
4. Combine almond flour (this shout be the main ingredient) with some LSA and shredded coconut (to taste) and press on to the top of the sliced apples. You can also add some cinnamon into the topping if you love cinnamon.
5. Bake in the oven until the top is lightly browned and when you poke a fork or skewer in to the apples they are soft.
6. Serve with some home made custard
7. Eat

Such a quick and easy recipe, you can swap and change items from the topping as you please. If you don’t have LSA omit it, if you love coconut butter add a little as you would standard butter, add cinnamon or nutmeg to the topping or completely omit the cinnamon.
