Things I Love September 2016

Things I Love September 2016

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Things I Love roundup post, and it’s not because I haven’t been loving anything lately It’s simply because things have been so busy that by the time I remember to do a post we are at least halfway into the next month!

This year has been crazy busy with Bootcamp, events like the Powerlifting Nationals for me and Bodybuilding competition for Kyle, along with starting to do some Saturday sessions for Metafit and Barbell for Kyle.

Things I Love September 2016

The rest of this year is going to fly by even quicker as we have a few holidays to look forward too! We’ve just gotten back from Bali, then we have a 6 week Intake for Bootcamp and Barbell and we are off to Las Vegas for Three Weeks for the Natural Olympia for Kyle (we will travel somewhere else too, we are undecided exactly where yet!), then we have a four week intake for Bootcamp and Barbell and then it’s Christmas and the office shuts down for a month. We plan on finally doing some camping this summer since we were too busy renovating last year. We still need to paint the outside of our house as well so hopefully that will get done over the summer break too. Anyway, let’s get into the things I love this month!

//Netball Tournament
At the start of the month we entered a Women’s only team into the ‘social’ indoor netball tournament held in Wanganui. I put social in the quotation marks because I think we were the only truly social team, we had never played together but I think we all had a lot of fun regardless! I really enjoy being on the netball court, but ever since I injured myself I don’t push anywhere near as hard as I used too, to me it’s not worth an injury. Especially now that I’m doing powerlifting competitions. The last netball injury I had was like 2.5 years ago and sometimes my ankle still gives me grief from it!

// Currently Reading
I’ve done quite a lot of reading lately, which is really nice! I used to be a HUGE book worm when I was younger, then I started studying via correspondence and got completely sick of reading anything, nor did I really have the time to read for pleasure. It took me a long while after the studying was finished to get back into the groove of reading for pleasure, and I’ve also started reading Fiction Books, something I haven’t done since the days of Sweet Valley High, The Baby Sitters Club and Goosebumps! I really enjoyed reading ‘Me Before You’, the sequel ‘After You’ and I’m a sucker for anything Janet Evanovich or Nicholas Sparks – I’m currently reading Two By Two (it comes out Early October) and I’m loving it so far. I’d highly recommend all of these books!

//Bali Trip
From the 15th September, we spent a week in Bali (with a night either end in Auckland, by the airport), this was somewhere I had been wanting to go to for a couple of years. Naturally when cheap flights came up in December last year, I snapped them up. It was a long wait to get to go on the trip, but (other than what we suspect was Food poisoning we both contracted part way through the trip) it was a great trip, we saw some awesome sights and loved exploring a new part of the world. The next post will be a recap of this trip!

Scent of the Month
This month I can’t choose between two scents that I’m loving. One is an old scent that I don’t think I actually liked that much when I first gave it the sniff test when I got my tester kit, however I gave it a whiff while looking through the box of wax bars I have and I loved it, ever since I’ve been warming it at Bootcamp! The second scent is a new release in the latest Scentsy catalogue – Give me Passionflower, it’s a cross between passionfruit and a beautiful floral scent, I don’t usually do florals but I love this one and I’ve been warming it at work.

Warmer of the Month
This month I thought I’d share my favourite warmer of the month as well, because we released a new catalogue at the start of the month. When I first saw the reimagine warmer come out in USA and Canada I was really sad that we didn’t get it here in New Zealand, so I was stoked when we got it with the new release on 1 September! Following the coloring in meditation and mindfulness trend, the reimagine warmer can be drawn on to create your own masterpiece! If you want a redo then you can wipe it all off and start again with new colour combinations.

Wangnaui Bootcamp - mud muster
//Looking Forward Too…
Looking forward there are heaps of things I am looking to for the rest of the year but two things that are coming up pretty quickly are the Mud Muster and our Trip to Las Vegas! Last year we completed the Mud Muster with a group of Bootcampers and really enjoyed it, this year we are also attending with a bunch of Bootcampers. I have been running the free weekly training sessions for it and it’s been heaps of fun! We are also super excited to head over to America for the Natural Olympia, it is being held in Las Vegas but we will spend some time elsewhere as well since we are away for three weeks. My must do’s so far are the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon, once we decide where else we will go I’ll start doing some googling and add some other bits and pieces to the list!

What have you been loving this month?? – Comment below and let me know, I love hearing from you!
