Whole 30: Week 3 and 4 thoughts

I’m not going to do another post of the food I’ve been eating over the past couple of weeks of the Whole 30 as to be honest it was getting boring taking photo’s of my meals which were all relatively similar. If it’s boring for me to take the photos and write about it was going to get boring for you to read as well.

As I type this I am up to day 24 of the Whole 30 and am looking forward to the end. Not because I am not enjoying the food, the food is fine for the most part. It is just that I don’t like feeling as though I am restricted and can’t eat certain things.

the whole 30 week 3 and 4 thoughts and feelings

I am one of these people who really get a lot of joy out of eating, I enjoy going out for lunch or dinner every now and again and just enjoying yummy tasting food, regardless of whether or not the food in question is any good for my health.

I am really enjoying flexing my willpower muscle when it comes to sweet treats that I don’t really need and only eat because they are offered (I’m looking at you chocolate Friday at work!). It has surprised me that it’s not even the sweet treats that I am missing as I didn’t really have them all that often.

I really just want a cup of milky tea in the morning! This comes as a huge surprise to me as I can’t stand the taste of milk and never understood why people drink milk by itself. But a cup of tea without milk is just weird too me and even after 24 days I just can’t get used to it!

Post Whole 30 I will not be adding sweetener to my tea like I have done in the past. I want to try to steer clear from artificial sweeteners, and well any sweeteners really.

I am feeling pretty alert which is great, I have had a few mysterious tummy issues which is not so great. But overall things have been going pretty well and I’m glad that I dived in and gave the Whole 30 a go!

Next week I will do a round up post with my final thoughts and what I am going to be doing going forward.

How do you have your tea or coffee? Black or Milky?
