Things I Love August 2015 Edition

It’s that time again, time for a recap of the things I loved this month! August has just flown by, with a trip to Auckland at the start of the month and trips to both Wellington and New Plymouth at the end of the month!

We managed to fill in the weekends we were at home quite well between our training, house hunting and getting in the kitchen and whipping up some bliss balls.

Here’s to the Things I Loved in August 2015!

Ginger Bliss Balls

// Ginger Bliss Balls
The Ginger Bliss Balls I made for Kyle were unexpectedly pretty damn amazing and I really, really like them! Which is quite a good statement for someone who isn’t super into ginger.

Things I Love August - Recipe Roundup Makeupper

// Fit Friday Recipe Roundup
I love the girls over at Makeupper and was lucky enough to catch up with them briefly this month. I could chat with them for hours about blogging! I was reminded about their delicious Paleo KFC recipe during our conversation and thought you might like to check out their Fit Friday recipe roundup over on their blog!

Adidas Leggings - Things I Love August

// Bright Leggings
I tried on these Adidas leggings in Rebel Sport and I really wasn’t too sure. I have been wanting some bright leggings for a while now and thought they might be a little bit too bright but I bit the bullet and ended up getting them and now I really like them! To keep up to date with things like these don’t forget to follow me on Instagram!

Things I Love August - House Hunting NZ

// House Hunting
In both scary and exciting news, we began actively house hunting during the month of August! Thanks very much to a change in the rules surrounding kiwisaver meaning we can now withdraw everything from it (except the $1,000 kick start), the home start grant and a decent track record for both of us with saving we are now in a position to seriously consider purchasing our first home. Watch this space!

Things I Love August - Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Herbs
// Gourmet Garden Herbs
I was sent these Gourmet Garden lightly dried herbs and think they are a really good idea! The herbs are only lightly dried so they still feel nice and fresh, they have a great taste and can be kept in the fridge for up to four weeks once opened. That’s a lot easier than trying to wrangle our herb garden that is looking rather pathetic at the moment! I’d really like to try some of their other products too!
Northern Explorer Train Auckland to Wellington - NZ Travel

// Northern Explorer Train Trip
I had been wanting to do the Northern Explorer Train trip for such a long time and it really did live up to my expectation. It is a shame the weather wasn’t as good as it could have been but we still managed to see a lot of our beautiful country!

Scent of the month - Sunkissed Citrus

// Scent of the Month
The 1st September is bringing a new catalogue for Scentsy which I am very excited about. For the month of August we have had 10% off almost everything in our store which has been awesome as I have stocked up on a few scents. This months favourite would have to be sunkissed citrus which is a lively blend of oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit.

What have you been loving this month???
