Spring has officially sprung and despite the average weather we woke up too in my neck of the woods, we can still feel that summer is on it’s way and soon it will be salad and BBQ weather!
I don’t know about you but I never feel like eating salads over winter as that kind of weather tends more to meals done in the slow cooker.
Since we have just got into spring I thought I’d get inspired about the possibilities of salads again and take a look at 12 salad recipes which don’t use lettuce!!
- Avocado Tuna Salad
- Hot Chicken Salad
- Balsamic Beet & Carrot Salad
- Warm Quinoa Salad with Corn and Black Beans

All of them look fantastic… and so colorful but I have to say the Greek one caught my eye immediately
The avocado, tuna salad is my absolute favourite, pretty and some of the best tastes together. Pinning for when summer comes around. I should also forward this post to my chef buddies who feel all salads require a hefty amount of salad.
Warm chicken salads sounds really good! Thanks for sharing
I love this idea!
I love salads, but I also get totally bored with the traditional kinds, I can’t wait to try some of these recipes!
Thanks!
except for the lentils, they all look worth trying!
I loved the presentation of the avocado tuna salad. Yum, yum, yum!
