Are you a black leggings person or a printed leggings person??
I always used to be a black leggings only person but have recently become a printed leggings person. Especially as I wear a black t-shirt for Bootcamp everyday, my new motto when it comes to workout leggings is that life is too short to wear boring leggings. That means if they are colourful they will catch my eye on the rack, or when ‘window shopping’ online.
If you’re like me and want to find the best places to buy printed leggings online, or just want to see if you can find something which might take you out of the ‘black leggings only’ box then this is the post for you! I’ve even found some which have a hint of colour, if full on bright printed leggings scare you!

Fashion Lane is new to New Zealand and I’ve recently found out that they have an active wear section on their website (because we do a lot of things these day’s in our active wear, right?!). Fashion Lane essentially finds all the bargains for you, from a tonne of sites all over the internet. You search on just the one website (Fashion Lane) and when you find something you love and want to purchase you are taken off to the website that the deal was found on to complete your purchase. The search results on Fashion Lane are returned by biggest discount, meaning all the biggest bargains will always show at the top of your search results! The accountant in me loves this!

Okay Lulu Lemon HAD to be in this list. If you’ve ever been a legging fiend then you will know about LuLu Lemon. It was only recently that I got my first pair of Lulu’s after coveting them for a very long time! I’d always admired how pretty they were but never been able to justify spending $100+ on one pair of leggings! Okay I probably could have justified it due to the fact I wear leggings every day for Bootcamp and then again for my own training. So really I was just too tight to buy a pair. They are very pretty, super comfortable and most importantly pass the squat test.

Pins to Kill is a new website where all they do is sell printed leggings! You can choose from any of their designs like the rainforest leggings in the picture, or you can even upload your own images or designs which they will make into leggings for you! I absolutely love this concept, but I am warey as to whether or not these leggings will pass my rigorous squat test as they do seem a bit thin. Although all those yoga poses in the model photographs and I can’t see anything I don’t want to see…

I think people are often surprised when they ask me where I got my leggings from and I respond with either ‘The Warehouse‘ or ‘K-mart’. Seriously, check out their activewear sections next time you are in store! They are surprisingly good! Unfortunately K-mart doesn’t have an online shop but The Warehouse does! While some of their leggings don’t pass my squat test, there are actually quite a few pairs which have passed it!

// Cotton on Body
While I’m personally not a fan of the current printed leggings at Cotton on Body they have had some awesome ones in the past! Plus I’m sure that these ones are to the style of some of you out there! This is definitely another bargain place to look for printed leggings, and they often have great sales as well so make sure you sign up too their newsletter online.

My faves are the Running Bare tights. The 3/4 are a bit long on my short legs, but I just bunch them up a little under my knees. They’re so comfy, and I feel like an absolute boss in them which to me is the most important thing 😀

$100 for leggings does seem a bit steep but if you live in them and they’re a standard part of your wardrobe then you need to invest in a good pair. You don’t want them unraveling all over the place.
