Christmas Gift Guide 2016 – Foodie

Christmas Gift Guide 2016 – Foodie

For the last two years I have put together quick gift guides for specific groups of people, generally those who are into their health and fitness, foodies and travellers. This year is no exception, it’s actually kind of cool to look back and see what I thought good gifts would be and see how those have changed (or not) with the passing time.

I’m putting this Christmas Gift Guide for the Foodie out early as some of the items will be required to be ordered online and may take a week to arrive. If you are doing your shopping online this year, make sure you get sorted right now, otherwise you may miss the Christmas cut off! I’ve tried to include gifts in all pricing levels, so even if you have to find a small Secret Santa gift for a Foodie this Christmas I’ll have you covered!

Don’t forget to check out my other Christmas Gift Guides for the Gym Bunny, Traveller and Yogi in your life.

In no particular order, here are some of the best gifts (in my opinion) for the Foodie in your life this Christmas.

// FoodSaver
I’ve written about how good the FoodSaver is at both saving you time and money as well as helping with portion control. The FoodSaver is a great gift for the foodies in your life because it helps to keep food fresher for longer! You can go in the draw to WIN one as well, check out this blog post here. RRP $299.99.

// Thug Kitchen 101
A cookbook is always a winner for the Foodie in your life and this Thug Kitchen Cookbook is completely different to any other cookbooks out there. If your recipient is partial to the odd swear word I can almost guarantee they will enjoy this book! If not, find another good cookbook – Nadia Lim has a huge range which have delicious recipes in them too!

// Entertainment Book
This gift will only suit people in certain parts of New Zealand, but is a great option for Foodies because there are discounts off a tonne of different places to go and eat which means your Foodie can eat their way around the city at a fraction of the cost. You can buy the entertainment book online.

// Chocolate Cherry Christmas Pudding Bliss Balls
Okay I am biased for these Chocolate Cherry Christmas Pudding Bliss Balls, but my point here is that a homemade gift is perfect for a foodie! Find a yummy recipe and put the time into making it for your loved one, wrap it up in a pretty bowl or jar with a Christmas bow. I know I appreciate a homemade gift all the more because the person has put their most precious resource (time) into creating it!

// Waffle Bowl
Okay this Waffle Bowl from Russell Hobbs looks amazing! To be honest, it’s not something I would likely buy for myself but I would love it! This would be perfect for a Christmas Dessert as the waffle bowl could hold ice-cream with fresh strawberries! RRP $99.99.
