George Foreman Mix & Go Health Mill Attachment Review

I have raved about my George Foreman Mix and Go before, so it will be no surprise to any of my regular readers that I was super excited when I found out they had made a Health Mill attachment for the Mix and Go!

The Health Mill attachment is simply a smaller bottle which attaches to your regular Mix and Go bottom. It is the perfect size for whizzing up herbs and spices or for giving nut and seed butters a go!

Today I am going to give a quick Review of the George Foreman Mix and Go Health Mill Attachment

George Foreman Mix & Go - Health Mill Attachment Review

I will be honest in that I haven’t used the health mill nearly as much as I thought I would when I first heard about it. This isn’t because I don’t think it’s a fantastic idea – because I do. But more due to the fact that I haven’t really been making much of anything in the kitchen lately, other than chicken and vegetables.

With the full power of the mix and go unit behind it, the health mill attachment whizzes up your goods within only a few seconds which is awesome, cas let’s be honest, who has the time to sit around and wait for your goods to be whizzed?

I first tested the mix and go health mill attachment with sunflower seeds as I was wanting to make a batch of my  nut free bliss balls  which involves making sunflower seed butter, which is actually a tonne easier than it sounds!

The Mix and Go Health Mill Attachment is super easy to use, simply swap the drink bottle for the health mill to crush nuts, blend spices, create homemade pesto and more. The 120ml clear container is dishwasher safe and comes complete with a storage lid and blade attachment specially designed for grinding up nutritious herbs and spices. RRP $29.95

My only qualm with the mix and go health mill attachment is that the container is quite small, as you are unable to fill it all the way to the top to leave enough room to enable the ingredients to actually mix together you can only make a small batch of items at a time.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as if I had a tonne of pesto or nut butter in the house it would all get destroyed, I could also use my Russell Hobbs Multi Food Processor to make a bigger batch of these anyway.

The great thing about the small container is that there isn’t a lot to clean, and we all know that cleaning up after making something delicious sucks!

What would you be most likely to use the health mill attachment for?

  1. I had no idea this existed! Cool! I already use my M&G for salad dressings as I love how fast and powerful it is. Good to know I can get this too!

  2. How did I not know about this! I love my Mix & Go for smoothies but that attachment would be very handy for processing dates for my health balls.

  3. I came to your article as I was looking for a review on mix n go! I type this on my way to Harvey Norman to pick one up. The comment tells me it’s a worth buy. Right Amanda?

  4. I got one of these yesterday and I was super excited, until I used it….

I wanted to make bliss balls, which involved making cashew butter, so in went the cashews and they were ground up into a meal almost instantly. Good start.

But then it didn’t go any further, the mixture was just stuck on the sides. I took it off, scraped down the sides, same deal. In frustration I let it run but after 10 seconds it started smoking!

So my question is this. Have I bought a dud one? Obviously the smoking is a bad thing and I will be taking it back for that reason, but I’m not in a huge hurry to replace it since it didn’t work as expected, all I could make was cashew powder and not butter. Was I doing it wrong?

    Thanks

    1. Oh no Katie, that is not good! Definitely take it back, I haven’t had any issues with my one at all 🙁 It definitely shouldn’t be smoking! Sometimes you may need a little liquid to get things going – peanut oil is good for this if it just won’t change from a powder to an oil but there is no way it should be smoking.
