Review: Horleys Sculpt Super Naturals Protein + Win a years supply!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a review and I really should get onto doing more of them as I know it’s helpful for others looking to purchase the same product! Today I have a review of the Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein – Superfruits with Pomegranate. I usually go for a chocolate based protein powder so thought it would be a nice change to go for a fruity one instead.

Review of Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein - Superfruits with Pomegranate

The thing I don’t like about some protein powders is that they are full of artificial colours and flavours and sometimes I wonder about the quality of the cows, the thing I love about the Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein is that it comes from NZ Grass Fed cows as opposed to grain fed overseas cows. There is something about knowing that the whey comes from NZ cows that does help put my mind at ease.

The Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein mixes easily which is always a bonus with protein powder as some of them are a real pain in the butt to mix! There is the added bonus of being gluten free and a low carbohydrate powder. This protein powder is actually slightly lower in sugar than some other ones that I have used which is definitely good.

Flavour wise the Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein – Superfruits with Pomegranate is really nice mixed with milk, it doesn’t have a super strong flavour but I like that about it as I don’t want to feel as though I am drinking a super sickly sweet drink, especially as I have my protein shakes in the morning or mixed through my oats.

While the protein per serve is down slightly (17.5g) on some of the other protein powders I have used, the serving size is slightly smaller as well so you could just use a little bit more powder to get more protein in.

The only things I don’t like about this powder is that the tub is quite small so if you are having protein powder everyday you will need to buy a new tub every couple of weeks as there are only 16 servings in a tub (not an issue if you stock up in sales, or only use it occasionally!) and that the price per serve is a little higher than some other protein powders I have used (although cheaper than a lot I have seen people use as well!).

Overall I really enjoyed the Horleys Sculpt Supernaturals Protein – Superfruits with Pomegranate as it has a nice taste, good stats and mixed well. The delivery from Mighty Ape is always super quick as well which is nice! I’d give it a 4/5 stars 🙂

You can purchase Horleys Sculpt Super Naturals Protein from Mighty Ape and it’s currently on special for $29.99. Every purchase through November 2015 from the Sculpt range through Mighty Ape will put you in the draw to win a years supply of protein powder!
